Welcome to my website, my name is Mark Catanach (pronounced cat-a-nak, it is an old Scottish name), I am 38 and live in Buckinghamshire.
I take frequent holidays to The Lake District and enjoy photographing the beautiful scenery up there. Amongst other topics I enjoy taking abstract images.
If you look through the Gallery of images you will see they are divided into sections which should make it easier to look for images that would interest you.
I currently use a Nikon D200 body with various lenses, and filters when they would enhance the image. Some of the images on this site were taken with my old camera, a Nikon D70. The D70 was my first foray into the world of Digital photography having started photography at school with a basic film camera.
From leaving school I worked in photographic retail for 16 years, then for the past 7 years I have worked as a trainer in Distribution.
